Wednesday, July 16, 2008 from 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM (PT)
Burbank, CA
We’re co-hosting an exclusive pre-screening of the latest Batman movie (The Dark Knight) with MySpace on Wednesday, July 16th at 7pm in Universal City, CA (just outside of LA).
We have 200 FREE tickets to release for this screening, which can be reserved here.
The show starts at 7 pm, but you can arrive as early as 6 pm. We will check your name against a list of registered attendees at the door. There’s no charge for the event, we just ask that you not reserve tickets if you don’t plan to attend (we’ll have a wait list once the tickets are sold out). Ticket holders who do not show up will be subject to restrictions for future TechCrunch events.
We’re doing this to say thank you to our LA area readers and to encourage warm fuzzy, advertisement-clicking feelings in you all. The Iron Man and Wanted screenings were both major successes, and we’re sure this one will be too.
Film Synopsis:
The follow-up to the action hit “Batman Begins,” “The Dark Knight” reunites director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale, who once again embodies the man behind the mask. “The Dark Knight” takes Batman across the world in his quest to fight a growing criminal threat. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman has been making headway against local crime…until a rising criminal mastermind known as The Joker (Heath Ledger) unleashes a fresh reign of chaos across Gotham City. To stop this devious new menace-Batman’s most personal and vicious enemy yet-he will have to use every high-tech weapon in his arsenal and confront everything he believes.
